Jumping on the Green Smoothie Bandwagon

Matt and I decided that we're going to do this "Green Eyed Monster Clense Cleanse" until we leave for vacation - should I be worried that they can't spell cleanse correctly?

Green Eyed Monster Clense for weight loss and health.

We have exactly $0 to spend on new clothes for the trip, and I need to take some formal-ish wear with me. I have this black dress I bought when we went to Europe a couple of years ago that I want to wear. Problem is that it looks like a second layer of skin on me. I say I need to loose about 10 lbs for it to look good, Matt said more like 20 lbs. He's so positive and supportive.

We had our first smoothie for dinner tonight. I used 2 c baby spinach, 1 1/2 c water, 1 green apple, and 1 pear. I know is says to choose I fruit, but I made our smoothies at the same time, so technically we only consumed 1 fruit. I used 2 scoops of protein, but that was WAY too much. I'll probably use 1 next time.

I thought it was good, but I'm used to the green super food smoothies you buy at the grocery store. This is the face Matt made.

It's going to be a long 14 days for him.

The Cutest Jumper on the Block

Gale over at Sugartogs has upped the jumper cuteness factor with this confection {HERE}. I'm a sucker for ric-rac, ruffles, and vintage buttons. If only I had a little girl to rock this! *Sigh*

Bone Day Fun

Matt made a Target run and found giant bones for the boys! I snapped a few pictures. They were too cute not to share.

I love Fox's look. He's all like, "what you want, CAT?"

BTW, those boxes are our Christmas decorations. We're still trying to put them away. In February.

Shameful!

Bursting Camellias

The camellias out front are about to burst. I love when spring is on the horizon.

Hanky Bib

In honor of Valentine's Day this week I thought I would share these hanky bibs by Rosi Rouge {HERE} and {HERE}. I see these old hankies piled up at antique stores all the time. So clever!

"I take that as a compliment..."

My DVR has several episodes of Downton Abby waiting for me. Shameful, I know!

Oh, Downton Abbey, you make me smile!

On My Way

I made my business cards this afternoon. I love how they turned out.

I was inspired by Lyssa Beth's tutorial {HERE}. I found it while perusing EverythingEtsy.com's post "13 Creative Business Cards" {HERE}.

I made them a little differently, though. I used Avery Two-Side Printable Clean Edge Business Cards {HERE} instead of sheets of card stock. Why? Well, I had them on hand and the thought of making all those cuts made me twitchy.

I used Microsoft Publisher which provides a handy template for Avery products.

After I printed the cards, I removed the outer border and separated the sheet into two halves.

Using my wonderful sewing machine Matt bought me for our first Christmas I made a zig-zag stitch through all cards  on both halves.

One at a time I folded the cards to separate them. Using a small pair of scissors {HERE} I cut the thread from underneath - so much easier than cutting from the top.

Voila! Homemade business cards.
